*Parents/caregivers ride FREE, if riding alongside their child for support and you must stay together!

Parents do not need to register when riding with their child.

Minimum age on the Get Set Aratiatia Adventure is 8 years unless discussed prior with event organisers.

Kids Discount
All children 15 and under will receive a $20 discount in all events (excluding Kids Craters) this will happen automatically in the online registration.

Kids Craters

For this event we do not have a min age.

Max age is 15 years.

Any child that cannot ride the course confidently must be supported and accompanied by an adult.

There will be course marshalls but we cannot watch all children on the course.

Depending on the circumstance, the parent is welcome to ride, walk or run with their child as a support person

The first 500 entries into the BFA Craters Classic receive a pair of our BFA Craters Classic socks!

As sock stock is limited, be quick to enter!

Socks will be collected at registration, 1 pair per entrant.

  • If you need to withdraw your entry no refunds or transfers to future events will be offered. While not mandatory, we would recommend you can take advantage of the XCover option when making your online event entry. Please read their T&C’s carefully regarding what is covered under the policy.

  • Protect your entry fee by covering yourself with XCover when you’re doing your online entry.

    When making your online entry, you’ll be given the option to take out refund protection during the online registration process. Those that opt for protection will be instantly protected against unforeseen circumstances which include things such as accident, injury, illness, death, and transportation issues. All customer refund requests are managed and handled by XCover.

    XCover must be purchased at time of entry. It can not be added at a later date.

    Making a Claim

    The claims team prioritises those claims that are filed within 7 days of the claim event. Claims must be submitted within 45 days of the booked event.

    Provide a detailed description of the event.

    For all claims they require, as a minimum, a detailed description of the event. We may request documents during the claim process such as booking invoices and receipts. If required documents are not provided to us the claim may be rejected or the status changed to “Pending”.

    Making a claim with XCover

  • You can transfer your entry to another rider up until midnight 31st March 2024 at no charge. After this time there will be a $15 administration charge.

    To transfer your entry to another rider simply log in directly through your online registration. If you have any problems, instructions can be found on our website.

    Unfortunately, at time, we cannot offer a transfer to another Love Taupo Trail Festival event.

  • You can change your event category up until April 15th 2024 at no charge. After this time there will be a $15 administration charge for any changes. An additional cost will also apply if you are changing to an event category with a higher entry price. There is no refund of entry fee if changing to a category with a lower entry price.

    This is available online until April 15th 2024, after this time all changes need to be requested via cratersclassic@biketaupo.co.nz or at event Check in on Friday 26th and 27th of April . Please note this is not available on Saturday morning (event day).

    To change your event category simply log in directly through your online registration. On the 'Summary' page, click on 'Change Category'. Select the new category. If there is an additional payment required, you will be prompted to make this payment.

  • To change your start group simply log in directly through your online registration and edit the start group question.

    This is available online until April 15th 2024 after this time all changes need to be requested via cratersclassic@biketaupo.co.nz or at event registration on Friday 26th and Saturday 27th and April.

  • 1. Junior - 15 and under - short and middle course only

    2. Young guns 16 - 19

    3. Prime 20 – 29

    4. Vet 1 30 - 39

    5. Vet 2 40 - 49

    6. Vet 3 50 - 59

    7. Vintage 60 plus

  • Whilst every effort will be made to run the event, it is possible that the event could be cancelled at any stage, this decision is to be the sole discretion of the organisers.

    Under no circumstances shall the organisers be held liable for any delay or failure in performance resulting directly or indirectly from acts of nature, forces or causes beyond its reasonable control including without limitation; fires, flood, storms, explosion, acts of God, war or governmental actions.

    Please note: We reserve the right to remove riders from the course if we feel it is necessary for the health and safety of our competitors and volunteers. This decision will be at the race directors discretion.

    Change of route or dissatisfaction

    In the event of a change of route or dissatisfaction, the organisers are under no obligation to provide any refund, either in part or full.

  • Want to ride with your mates and be eligible for great team prize?

    Enter as a group and collectively ride as many KM’s as you can. You don’t have to stay together, but each team member just needs to finish.

    The group that rides the most KM’s wins the prize, easy as that!
