KIDS CRATERS

The excitement at the start line, to the celebrations at the finish, this year's event is going to be packed with unforgettable moments that kids (and parents!) won't forget.
Parents and caregivers are welcome on the course either with a bike or on foot. Any child unsure if they will make the distance, must be accompanied by a support person.
The race is not timed
All entrants will receive a finishing medal.
We will have a Short Course and a Long Courses event just for kids!!!
We have two distance options, short course and long course with a distance range approx. 7 kms and 11 km’s, mainly Grade 2 & 3 trails (with a few tight sections)
Kids will start in waves from the Hub from 2:00pm.
Long course waves from 2:00pm
Short course waves from 2:30pm
If your child is looking for something more challenging, you might like to try The Aratiatia Adventure or the Craters Classic mid course.
By entering the Kids Craters, you can confirm the child is fully capable of participating and if you are supporting your child in the event, you acknowledge that you are physically fit to participate in the event, and can confidently ride or walk the grade of tracks in your chosen course.

At Bike Taupō, we're passionate about encouraging a love for biking from a young age and that's why we're thrilled to bring you the Kids Craters Mountain Bike Event!
Friday 17th April 12pm from the Bike Taupo Hub on Wairakei Drive is where is where it all starts and finishes!
This event is more than just a race, it's an opportunity for young riders to build confidence, enjoy the thrill of the trails, and be part of a fun, supportive biking community.
At our event you get the chance to play in Taupo's biggest, and coolest back yard!
At the Kids Craters Classic we promote adventures! Whether your child is a beginner or a seasoned rider, we have a course to match their skill level, ensuring everyone has a blast!
