Welcome Whakapapa

We are so excited to welcome Whakapapa to the Craters Classic as our official partner of the King and Queen of the Downhill!

Located on the northern slopes of Mt Ruapehu in the heart of New Zealand’s North Island, these guys are literally the Kings and Queen of the Downhill.

In winter, they operate as a world-class ski area and in the summer, with the maunga laid bare of its winter coat, they offer sightseeing on the 1.8km Sky Waka gondola, with views across the Central Plateau, down to the unique volcanic terrain, dining at 2020m, and marked walks.
